Short version: Freezer & Pantry Inventory is a tool to help you track food and plan meals — helpful, but not a guarantee. Expiration tracking and meal suggestions are for convenience and general information only, not food-safety, allergen, or medical advice — always use your own judgment. Your app license is Apple's standard EULA; these Terms cover the broader service, optional grocery-retailer integrations, and the usual legal basics. Questions: info@tech.clarke.rocks.
By downloading, installing, or using Freezer & Pantry Inventory (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are between you and the developer of rocks.clarke.tech.freezerinventory ("we," "us"). They work alongside our Privacy Policy.
The App is licensed, not sold. Your license to install and use the App is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). These Terms apply in addition to the Apple EULA; if the two ever conflict regarding the app license itself, the Apple EULA controls.
The App offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks features such as AI meal planning, expiration alerts, and additional storage locations. Premium subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase. Refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes are handled by Apple under its terms.
The inventory, recipes, notes, photos, and shopping lists you create in the App are yours. They are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your personal iCloud account — we claim no ownership of them and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we cannot access them. You are responsible for the content you enter and for keeping your own backups (for example, the App's CSV export).
You agree not to:
The App connects to services operated by others, each under its own terms and privacy policy, including Open Food Facts (product data), Unsplash (photos), Apple (iCloud and App Store), and — for AI meal suggestions on devices without Apple Intelligence — our processing service and Anthropic's Claude API. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their content.
The App may also let you connect your own accounts with grocery retailers (for example, Kroger) or include links to retailers (for example, Walmart):
Expiration and "use by" tracking, low-stock indicators, and meal and recipe suggestions (including AI-generated ones) are provided for convenience and general information only. They are not food-safety, nutritional, dietary, allergen, or medical advice, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment or for product labels and local food-safety guidance.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time. Features that depend on third-party services (product lookups, photo search, AI suggestions, retailer integrations) may change or stop working if those services change or become unavailable, and we are not responsible for such changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information it provides (including product data, prices, or expiration tracking) is accurate, complete, or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from spoiled or wasted food, missed expirations, purchases made through retailer links or integrations, or reliance on information in the App. To the extent we are found liable despite the above, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App and its subscriptions in the twelve months before the claim, or US $25.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any third party's rights.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and of the Apple EULA, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support or handle any claims relating to the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and may note the change in a future App update. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own jurisdiction.
